Chicken pot pie biscuits

* Ingredients:


° 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter

° ¼ cup of flour

° 3 cups of milk

° Kilo of previously cooked shredded or shredded chicken

° 1 cup of peas and carrots, cut into small cubes

° ½ cup of onion, chopped in small pieces

° 1 cup of potato, cut into small squares

° 1 tablespoon salt

° 1 tablespoon black pepper

* Ingredients for the dough for the pie:

° 4 cups of flour

° A teaspoon of baking powder

° ½ 1 teaspoon baking soda

° 1 teaspoon salt

° 1 cup of unsalted butter

° A cup of curd or yogurt

° 1 large egg, beaten

° 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese


* How to prepare :


Before starting to make the filling for the recipe, preheat the oven to 190 ° C, add the butter to a medium-sized frying pan over a medium heat, then add the flour and stir until the flour becomes golden in color, then add the milk and continue stirring until the bechamel is soft.


Add the “peas, chopped carrots, potatoes, chicken, onions, salt and pepper” and stir the mixture for 7-10 minutes, then remove the mixture from the heat.


To prepare the dough for the sandwich


In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and baking soda, then add the butter and rub it with the flour using your hands or a fork, leaving pea-sized pieces of it.

Add curd or yogurt to the flour and stir until you get a coherent dough that is uniquely cut and it is cut using a cookie cutter into 5 cm thick circles to get 10 circles.

Place dough circles on the filling and brush the surface with beaten eggs.

Finally, sprinkle the cheddar cheese on the surface of the dough and bake for a period of 25-30 minutes in the oven until the dough becomes golden, then carefully remove it and leave to cool and serve.
