Grab a hot bowl of one if my favorite soups, because January is National Soup Month y’all!
So, in honor of National Soup Month, I would share a few new soups featured here, but in the meantime I thought I you’ll be seeing a round-up of some of my most favorite soups. Make sure to pop by and check out my updated round up of soups for National Soup Month too & I hope you enjoy !
1. Southern Vegetable Beef Soup
Oooh, a good old fashioned soup !! Whenever I make this Southern Vegetable Beef Soup I think of my Grandma Mac and how when she’d cook up a batch, she’d kind of sigh and say “you just can’t find a good soup bone anymore” lol. Here you’ll be seeing bite sized strips of beef sirloin tip steak. They are sauteed with a basic mirepoix, and a beef and tomato base, with a mixture of veggies, some potatoes and corn, resulting in perfect comfort food. It’s a keeper in the south.
2. Loaded Baked Potato Soup
Loaded Baked Potato Soup is just what you’ll need on a cool fall or winter day. This extemely easy recipe to follow is amazing! Made with only few ingredients and big on taste and flavor. Highly recommended !!
3. Mac and Cheese Soup
Imagine a soup version of macaroni and cheese, quick and satisfying soup recipe!! Consider trying the crumble topping even if you aren’t a big fan of bleu cheese, just out of curiosity because it tasted really great! And please feel free to use the spices and flavorings that suit your family.
4. Seven Can Taco Soup
Super easy and pretty tasty, 7 Can Soup is an absolute favorite !! Grab diced tomatoes, Rotel tomatoes, canned green chilies, chili beans, kidney beans, pinto beans and a can of corn and take 5 minutes to throw together! And please let it simmer a bit and then garnish it with some goodies. Seriousely, 5 stars recipe !!
5. Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Indeed, where would a soup round-up be without good ole Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup? Y’all have to try out this easy peasy Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe, it will take only a few ingredients and will be ready in 5 minutes. Plus, the seasonings typically used are known to have certain anti-inflammatory properties that appear to offer some real respiratory benefits. Bon apetit !!
6. Leek and Cabbage Soup with Andouille Sausage
This Leek and Cabbage Soup with Smoked Sausage is definitely one of my favorites and I’ve received many compliments on it. Putting this soup in your regular rotation for mealtime and that’s the biggest compliment I could ask for. The stars of this next soup are a basic mirepoix, but the addition of leeks and cabbage pair up incredibly with smoked or andouille sausage. So, clean those leeks thoroughly!
7. Spicy Cajun Sausage and Corn Soup
This soup starts with the corn and tomatoes which just belong together if you ask me. The flavors came together in this Spicy Cajun Sausage and Corn Soup, OMG fantastic !! You may toss in a can of Ro-tel tomatoes for some extra heat if you’re feeling a bit adventurous.
8. Creamy Cheesy Potato Soup with Bacon
This Creamy Cheesy Potato Soup is a rich and delicious recipe soup that uses some convenience products, along with some fresh veggies, chicken stock, potatoes and fresh cheddar cheese. It tastes like a loaded baked potato turned into a creamy soup. It is homemade comfort food to the max and perfect for a cold winter day!
9. Greens and Black-Eyed Pea Soup
Greens and Black-eyed Pea Soup is a tasty soup spin on traditional Southern New Year’s foods. Feel free to serve with your favorite cornbread for a hearty lunch or dinner.
10. Hamburger Soup
Hamburger Soup is my favorite, wonderful mix of vegetables and ground beef . . . great with homemade bread !! This is a great basic recipe that lets you want to double it !!
